Bill Belichick at UNC

CHAPEL HILL, NC — In what experts are calling “the most awkward second act since MySpace tried to make a comeback,” former NFL coach Bill Belichick revealed Friday that he has been learning all sorts of new things since taking over as North Carolina’s head coach, including what college is, how to use Instagram, and that dating someone younger than your playbook might raise eyebrows.

Appearing on “Good Morning America” to promote his new book, “The Art of Winning: How to Cut the Sleeves Off Perfectly Good Sweatshirts,” the six-time Super Bowl champion shared insights into his radical discovery that college football involves “recruiting” and has different “hashmarks,” revelations that sent shockwaves through the collegiate athletic community.

“I learn every day,” said Belichick, who reportedly spent his first team meeting asking players to show their W-2 forms and explaining that they couldn’t be traded to Clemson mid-season.

The 73-year-old coaching legend was also asked about his relationship with 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, who sources confirm was born after Belichick had already won his first Super Bowl with the Patriots. When pressed on Hudson’s role, Belichick explained she “does the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina,” a job description that career counselors are still attempting to decipher.

“She was very helpful with the tribute pages,” Belichick added, referring to his book, apparently unaware that “tribute pages” is not a standard publishing term but rather something one creates on Facebook after someone has passed away.

UNC Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham has emphatically denied reports that Hudson was banned from football facilities, clarifying, “We welcome all significant others, regardless of whether they were alive during the Clinton administration.”
